Product Information

  • Product Name
    Human UBE2I recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Accepts the ubiquitin-like proteins SUMO1, SUMO2, SUMO3 and SUMO4 from the UBLE1A-UBLE1B E1 complex and catalyzes their covalent attachment to other proteins with the help of an E3 ligase such as RANBP2 or CBX4. Can catalyze the formation of poly-SUMO chains. Necessary for sumoylation of FOXL2 and KAT5. Essential for nuclear architecture and chromosome segregation. Sumoylates p53/TP53 at 'Lys-386'.
  • Protein name
    SUMO-conjugating enzyme UBC9
  • Protein short names
    C358B7.1; UBCE2I; F830028O17RIK; UBC9; P18; UBCE9; 5830467E05RIK
  • Uniprot ID
    P63279
  • Gene Name
    UBE2I; UBC9; UBCE9
  • Source/Expression Host
    E. coli
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the human UBE2I (P63279) (Met 1-Ser 158) was expressed and purified, with additional two amino acids (Gly & Pro) at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Human
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant human UBE2I consists of 160 amino acids and migrates as an approximately 18 kDa band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions as predicted.
