Product Information

  • Product Name
Rat IL-1R2/CD121b (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Non-signaling receptor for IL1A, IL1B and IL1RN. Reduces IL1B activities. Serves as a decoy receptor by competetive binding to IL1B and preventing its binding to IL1R1. Also modulates cellular response through non-signaling association with IL1RAP after binding to IL1B. IL1R2 (membrane and secreted forms) preferentially binds IL1B and poorly IL1A and IL1RN. The secreted IL1R2 recruits secreted IL1RAP with high affinity; this complex formation may be the dominant mechanism for neutralization of IL1B by secreted/soluble receptors (By similarity).
  • Protein name
    Interleukin-1 receptor type 2
  • Protein short names
    IL-1R-2; CDW121B; IL1RB; IL-1 TYPE II RECEPTOR; CD121 ANTIGEN-LIKE FAMILY MEMBER B; CD121B; INTERLEUKIN-1 RECEPTOR BETA; IL-1R-BETA; IL-1RT2; RATTUS NORVEGICUS; IL1R-2; IL1R2C; IL-1RT-2
  • Uniprot ID
    P43303
  • Gene Name
    Il1r2; Il-1r2; Il1rb
  • Source/Expression Host
    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the rat IL1R2 (P43303) extracellular domain (Met 1-Glu 355) was expressed, fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Rat
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant rat IL1R2 comprises 353 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 39.7 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the rat IL1R2 is approximately 55-60 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions due to glycosylation.
  • Purity
    > 97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
  • Activity
Measured by its ability to bind biotinylated Rat IL1B-His (Cat:503638) in a functional ELISA.
  • Validations

    Rat IL1R2 / IL1RB / CD121b Protein (His Tag) SDS-PAGE

    Rat IL1R2 / IL1RB / CD121b Protein (His Tag) SDS-PAGE
