The first AMP from Hypsiboas semilineatus. The sequence of Hs-1 is 55% similar to insect Crabrolin. Active against Gram+ bacteria S. aureus ATCC 33591 (MRSA), B.cereus ATCC 14579, B. subtilis ATCC 23858, L. monocytogenes ATCC 7644 (MIC 12-47 uM). Hemolytic HL50=82 uM. Predicted to be helical. Hs-1 was found in skin, Hypsiboas semilineatus, Brazil, South America. Hs-1 is an antimicrobial peptide displays 80% protection against the dengue-2 virus
