  • Description

Recombinant Human DVL-2 (Dishevelled-2) Fragment (aa 264-385) is a high-purity protein designed for studying the PDZ domain's role in Wnt signaling pathways. This fragment serves as an essential tool for investigating domain-specific interactions and functions in both canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling mechanisms.

The full-length Segment polarity protein dishevelled homolog DVL-2 (DVL2) is a key mediator in Wnt signal transduction pathways, functioning in both canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling. It binds to the cytoplasmic C-terminus of frizzled receptors and facilitates downstream signal propagation while promoting internalization and degradation of frizzled proteins upon Wnt activation. DVL-2 localizes primarily to the cell membrane as a peripheral membrane protein on the cytoplasmic side, but also resides in the cytosol, cytoplasmic vesicles, and can translocate to the nucleus through interactions with FOXK1/FOXK2. This recombinant fragment spanning residues 264-385 specifically contains the PDZ domain (267-339), enabling focused research on this critical functional domain's contributions to DVL-2's signaling capabilities.
