  • Description
    The B4 peptide, or dermaseptin B4, is one of the peptides belonging to the dermaseptin B family isolated from the skin secretions of the South American frog Phyllomedusa bicolor. Synthetic dermaseptin B4 is highly active in inhibiting the growth of Gram - positive and Gram - negative bacteria, with minimal inhibitory concentrations in the range of 1 - 10μM. It shows cytotoxicity against mammalian cells at doses above 10μM, with 50% inhibition at 20μM.
