Product Information

  • Product Name
Human Cystatin SN / CST1 (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Human saliva appears to contain several cysteine proteinase inhibitors that are immunologically related to cystatin S but that differ in their specificity due to amino acid sequence differences. Cystatin SN, with a pI of 7.5, is a much better inhibitor of papain and dipeptidyl peptidase I than is cystatin S, although both inhibit ficin equally well.
  • Protein name
    Cystatin-SN
  • Protein short names
    OTTHUMP00000164184; CYSTAIN-SA-I; TYPE 2 FAMILY; CYSTEINE PROTEINASE INHIBITOR; CST1; CYSTATIN 1; SALIVARY CYSTATIN-SA-1; CYSTATIN SA-I; CYSTATIN SN
  • Uniprot ID
    P01037
  • Gene Name
    CST1
  • Source/Expression Host
    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the human CST1 (P01037-1) (Met 1-Ser 141) was fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
