  • Description

Recombinant Human Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase (CNDP2), a highly purified protein fragment (residues 2-475) engineered for superior stability and solubility. This fragment retains key functional domains, making it an ideal tool for investigating dipeptidase activity, glutathione metabolism, and cell cycle regulation in biochemical and structural studies.

Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase (CNDP2) is a cytoplasmic enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of dipeptides, with specialized activity toward threonyl dipeptides and a critical role in tissue-specific threonyl dipeptide catabolism. It exhibits high dipeptidase activity toward cysteinylglycine, an intermediate in glutathione metabolism, and also metabolizes N-lactoyl-amino acids through both hydrolysis and reverse proteolysis. Beyond its metabolic functions, CNDP2 is implicated in regulating cell cycle arrest and apoptosis, highlighting its broader significance in cellular homeostasis and disease mechanisms. The protein is localized to the cytoplasm, where it performs these essential enzymatic and regulatory roles.
