Product Information

  • Product Name
    Canine IL-33 recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Cytokine that binds to and signals through the IL1RL1/ST2 receptor which in turn activates NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling pathways in target cells. Involved in the maturation of Th2 cells inducing the secretion of T-helper type 2-associated cytokines. Also involved in activation of mast cells, basophils, eosinophils and natural killer cells. Acts as a chemoattractant for Th2 cells, and may function as an "alarmin", that amplifies immune responses during tissue injury (By similarity).
  • Protein name
    Interleukin-33
  • Protein short names
    9230117N10RIK; C9ORF26; IL33; DVS27; IL-33; DKFZP586H0523; NFEHEV; IL1F11; NF-HEV; RP11-575C20.2
  • Uniprot ID
    O97863
  • Gene Name
    IL33
  • Source/Expression Host
    E. coli
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the mature form of canine IL33 (O97863) (Ser 110-Ser 263) was expressed, with an initial Met at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Canine
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant canine IL33 consists of 155 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 17.8 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, it migrates as an approximately 19KDa band.
  • Purity
    > 97 % as determined by SDS-PAGE
  • Activity
    1. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Canine IL33 (Cat:501440) at 10 μg/ml (100 μl/well) can bind human IL1R4-Fc (Cat:502791), The EC50 of human IL1R4-Fc (Cat:502791) is 0.25-0.66 μg/ml.
    2. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells costimulated with antiCD3. The ED50 for this effect is typically 10-40 ng/mL.
  • Validations

    Canine IL33 / Interleukin-33 / NF-HEV Protein SDS-PAGE

    Canine IL33 / Interleukin-33 / NF-HEV Protein SDS-PAGE
