Description
VPYPQ is a casein-derived peptide which was the most potent DPP-IV inhibitory peptide among them with an IC50 value of 41.45 μM. VPYPQ was resistant to hydrolysis by gastrointestinal enzymes and was relatively more stable to hydrolysis by DPP-IV and peptidases in plasma compared with its fragments. VPYPQ was a promising casein-derived DPP-IV inhibitor.
