Small toxic polypeptide LdrB/LdrOB/LdrOC is highly homologous to ldrD and has the same activity as it. LdrB sources from E. coli K-12, while LdrOB and LdrOC source from E. coli O157:H7. Though the organisms are different, they share the same sequence. In this peptide, there is a putative trans-membrane a-helical domain predicted by a computer program (SOSUI: http://sosui.proteome.bio.tuat.ac.jp/sosuiframe0E.html) sequenced WHDLAAPILAGIITAAIVGWWR.
