Description
Peptide Rb9 is a cyclic peptide derived from the VHCDR3 of a humanized monoclonal antibody called RebmAb 200. It reacts with an epitope in the sodium-phosphate transporter NaPi2b and displays bio-reactivity independent of mAb specificity. The peptide was synthesized by Peptide 2.0 and modifications included amidation at the C terminus (NH2) and cyclization (C-C, disulfide bridge). It has been shown to have immunomodulatory protective effects in a metastatic melanoma setting and has been tested against syngeneic CT26 colon and Panc02 pancreatic cancer cells grafted subcutaneously in C57Bl/6 mice. It activates murine or human dendritic cells and enhances the immune response against cancer cells. The peptide has been studied for its anti-tumor protective effects against metastatic melanoma and has shown potential as a new anticancer drug.

About TFA salt
Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a common counterion from the purification process using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The presence of TFA can affect the peptide's net weight, appearance, and solubility.
Impact on Net Weight: The TFA salt contributes to the total mass of the product. In most cases, the peptide content constitutes >80% of the total weight, with TFA accounting for the remainder.
Solubility: TFA salts generally enhance the solubility of peptides in aqueous solutions.
In Biological Assays: For most standard in vitro assays, the residual TFA levels do not cause interference. However, for highly sensitive cellular or biochemical studies, please be aware of its presence.
