    This synthetic peptide comprises the N-terminal portion of a 55-residue sequence encoded by the pre-S2 region of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA. It represents an immunodominant epitope, and the immunogenicity can be enhanced by covalently linking the peptide to liposomes.
