  • Description

Recombinant Human POU2F2 (Oct-2) Fragment (aa 198-358) is a high-purity, stable protein fragment designed for structural and biochemical studies. This 161-amino acid fragment, derived from the POU domain class 2 transcription factor 2, retains key solubility properties ideal for investigating transcription factor mechanisms and interactions.

POU2F2 (Oct-2) is a human transcription factor that specifically binds the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3') and regulates gene expression in multiple tissues, including immunoglobulin gene activation in B cells. It modulates transcription transactivation by nuclear receptors including NR3C1, AR, and PGR, and regulates IL6 expression in B cells through interaction with POU2AF1. Isoform 5 specifically activates the U2 small nuclear RNA promoter. The full-length protein localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus, reflecting its dynamic role in transcriptional regulation. The selected fragment (aa 198-358) represents a computationally optimized stable region suitable for experimental applications without containing known functional domains.
