  • Description
    The 810 peptide (QDLTMKYQIF) is a decapeptide. It contains the antigenic epitope (KYQI) recognized by human mAb L92, which is found in a 43-kDa protein associated with human melanoma M14. In vivo immunization with melanoma cell vaccine (MCV) significantly enhances the 810-specific cytotoxicity. The 810-specific CTL activity is HLA-class I-restricted, and HLA-A2 and-A11 seem to serve as the presenting molecules. It may be a degradation fragment processed from a 43-kDa protein in the cytosol of melanoma. The 810 peptide has potential applications. It may be used as a melanoma vaccine replacing whole cells and as a diagnostic reagent.
