    Pentapeptide-18 is a synthetic oligopeptide with the amino acid sequence Tyr-D-Ala-Gly-Phe-Leu. It belongs to the class of neurotransmitter peptides and is structurally related to enkephalins. This pentapeptide is associated with the SNAP-25 (Synaptosome-Associated Protein, 25 kDa) receptor protein, which is involved in the formation of the SNARE complex and the release of neurotransmitters.
