Description
Recombinant Human NR2F6 (V-erbA-related protein 2) Fragment (aa 165-404) – a high-purity protein fragment encompassing the complete ligand-binding domain (NR LBD), designed for advanced studies in transcriptional regulation, nuclear receptor signaling, and immune tolerance mechanisms.
Nuclear receptor subfamily 2 group F member 6 (NR2F6), also known as V-erbA-related protein 2 (EAR-2), is a transcription factor primarily involved in transcriptional repression. It binds to promoter/enhancer response elements containing imperfect 5'-AGGTCA-3' direct or inverted repeats, modulating hormonal responses and repressing genes such as lutropin-choriogonadotropic hormone receptor (LHCGR), renin (REN), and oxytocin-neurophysin (OXT). NR2F6 exhibits cell type-specific repression of thyroid hormone receptor activity, inhibits NFATC transcription factor DNA binding and transcriptional activity, and acts as a transcriptional repressor of IL-17 in Th-17 differentiated CD4+ T cells, implicating it in peripheral immunological tolerance and autoimmunity. Additionally, it plays a role in forebrain circadian clock development and locus coeruleus formation. The protein is localized to the nucleus, as confirmed by experimental evidence.
