  • Description
    KF8K peptide is a β-sheet-forming peptide, has the fiber edges covered by lysine residues. The addition the two lysine residues did not affect the ability of the new peptide, KFEFKFEFKK (KF8K), to form β-sheet-rich fibers and hydrogels provided that the overall charges carried by the peptide were kept the same. KF8K hydrogels were found to have significantly lower shear moduli and to align only at high shear rates and concentrations.
