  • Description

Recombinant Glutamate-rich WD repeat-containing protein 1 (GRWD1) fragment (amino acids 34-446) is a high-purity, stable protein designed for chromatin dynamics and DNA replication studies. This 413-amino acid fragment, derived from human GRWD1, retains key functional properties and is ideal for structural, biochemical, and interaction assays.

Glutamate-rich WD repeat-containing protein 1 (GRWD1) is a histone-binding protein that plays a critical role in chromatin dynamics and minichromosome maintenance (MCM) loading at replication origins, potentially by enhancing chromatin openness. It localizes to the nucleus and nucleolus, associates with chromosomes during interphase, and detaches from chromatin during mitosis before rebinding at telophase during pre-replication complex formation. This protein is essential for regulating DNA replication initiation and maintaining genomic stability.
