  • Description

This product is a high-quality recombinant protein fragment of Human Guanine nucleotide-binding protein-like 3-like protein (GNL3L), encompassing amino acids 56-438. It includes the complete CP-type G domain, making it an ideal tool for researchers studying domain-specific functions in telomere regulation, ribosomal RNA processing, and cell proliferation.

The full-length Guanine nucleotide-binding protein-like 3-like protein (GNL3L), encoded by the GNL3L gene in Homo sapiens, plays critical roles in cellular processes. It stabilizes TERF1 telomeric association by preventing its recruitment by PML and inhibits TERF1 ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation by interfering with its binding to the FBXO4 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. GNL3L is essential for cell proliferation and promotes the metaphase-to-anaphase transition during mitosis by stabilizing TRF1. Additionally, it stabilizes MDM2 protein, potentially influencing TP53 activity, and is required for normal ribosomal pre-rRNA processing. The protein binds GTP and is localized to the nucleus and nucleolus, underscoring its importance in nuclear functions and cellular homeostasis.
