Description
Recombinant Human Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (Flt3 ligand, Flt3L) fragment (amino acids 27-184) is a highly stable and soluble protein preparation ideal for structural studies and biochemical analysis of this critical hematopoietic growth factor.
Flt3 ligand is a key cytokine that stimulates the proliferation of early hematopoietic cells through activation of the FLT3 receptor. It demonstrates strong synergistic activity with various colony stimulating factors and interleukins, and is essential for the proper development of B cells and dendritic cells. The full-length protein exists in two isoforms: isoform 1 functions as a single-pass type I membrane protein localized to the cell membrane, while isoform 2 is secreted, allowing for both membrane-bound and soluble signaling mechanisms in hematopoietic regulation.
