  • Description

Recombinant Human FBXO9 Fragment (84-447) is a high-purity protein designed for studying the F-box domain's role in substrate recognition within the SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase complex. This fragment enables targeted research into ubiquitination pathways, cell cycle regulation, and protein stability mechanisms, making it an essential tool for molecular and cellular biology applications.

F-box only protein 9 (FBXO9) is a substrate recognition component of the SCF E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, which mediates ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of target proteins. It plays critical roles in biological processes such as cell cycle control, proliferation, and chromosome stability. Specifically, FBXO9 ubiquitinates mTORC1-bound TTI1 and TELO2 upon phosphorylation by CK2 during growth factor deprivation, leading to their degradation and subsequent inactivation of mTORC1 to restrain cell growth. It also regulates epithelial cell survival by targeting chromatin modulator PRMT4 for degradation and influences adipocyte differentiation through PPARγ stability. The protein is localized in the cytoplasm, as confirmed by experimental evidence.
