  • Description
DLTAGLLE is a novel ACE-inhibitory peptide which was isolated and purified from Lepidotrigla microptera protein hydrolysate (LMPH) using various techniques such as ultrafiltration, gel filtration chromatography, and preparative high performance liquid chromatography (prep-HPLC). It has been identified as a noncompetitive inhibitor by Lineweaver-Burk plot. The amino acid sequence of the purified peptide is Phe-Leu-Thr-Ala-Gly-Leu-Leu-Asp. The IC50 value of DLTAGLLE was found to be 0.13 mg/mL. The peptide has ACE(Angiotensin Converting Enzyme)-inhibitory activity, which means it can help regulate blood pressure. It is stable across a range of temperatures (<100 • C) and pH values (3.0-11.0) and retained after gastrointestinal digestion. DLTAGLLE has the potential to develop functional food or novel ACE-inhibitor drugs.
  • Storage Guidelines

  • About TFA salt

Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a common counterion from the purification process using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The presence of TFA can affect the peptide's net weight, appearance, and solubility.

Impact on Net Weight: The TFA salt contributes to the total mass of the product. In most cases, the peptide content constitutes >80% of the total weight, with TFA accounting for the remainder.

Solubility: TFA salts generally enhance the solubility of peptides in aqueous solutions.

In Biological Assays: For most standard in vitro assays, the residual TFA levels do not cause interference. However, for highly sensitive cellular or biochemical studies, please be aware of its presence.
