  • Description

DA-JC4 is a novel dual agonist targeting both glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptors. This synthetic peptide has been optimized to cross the blood-brain barrier effectively. In experimental models, DA-JC4 demonstrates the ability to modulate insulin signaling pathways in neural tissues, as evidenced by its effects on phospho-IRS1Ser1101 and phospho-AktSer473 levels. The peptide also influences tau protein phosphorylation states in cerebral cortex and hippocampal regions.

At the cellular level, DA-JC4 exhibits modulatory effects on neuroinflammatory responses, as observed through its impact on GFAP-positive astrocytes and IBA1-positive microglia populations. The peptide influences apoptotic signaling pathways, demonstrated by its regulation of the BAX/Bcl-2 ratio. These molecular effects occur at relatively low concentrations (10 nmol/kg), suggesting high potency in biological systems.

  • Storage Guidelines
Normally, this peptide will be delivered in lyophilized form and should be stored in a freezer at or below -20 °C. For more details, please refer to the manual: Handling and Storage of Synthetic Peptides

  • About TFA salt

Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a common counterion from the purification process using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The presence of TFA can affect the peptide's net weight, appearance, and solubility.

Impact on Net Weight: The TFA salt contributes to the total mass of the product. In most cases, the peptide content constitutes >80% of the total weight, with TFA accounting for the remainder.

Solubility: TFA salts generally enhance the solubility of peptides in aqueous solutions.

In Biological Assays: For most standard in vitro assays, the residual TFA levels do not cause interference. However, for highly sensitive cellular or biochemical studies, please be aware of its presence.
