Description
Recombinant Human CRADD Death Domain-containing Protein Fragment (1-199) - A high-purity protein fragment encompassing the complete CARD and Death domains, ideal for studying apoptosis signaling pathways and caspase activation mechanisms.
Death domain-containing protein CRADD (Caspase and RIP adapter with death domain) serves as a critical adapter protein in apoptosis regulation. It forms the PIDDosome complex by associating with PIDD1 and caspase CASP2, leading to CASP2 activation and initiation of programmed cell death. Additionally, CRADD recruits CASP2 to the TNFR-1 signaling complex through interactions with RIPK1 and TRADD, playing a significant role in tumor necrosis factor-mediated signaling pathways. The protein localizes to both the cytoplasm and nucleus, indicating its involvement in multiple cellular compartments. The recombinant fragment (1-199) contains the complete functional domains necessary for studying these critical protein-protein interactions in apoptosis research.
