    The APD found 40% similarity to temporin-La. Active against E. coli ATCC 25922, S. typhi ATCC 50013, S. aureus ATCC 25923 and B. subtilis ATCC 9372, with MIC in the range of 4 to 32 ug/mL. The APD predicts it as a helical peptide. Reg. 9/11/2014. The source of Pep39 is hydrolysate, anchovy, e.g., Engraulis encrasicolus.
