Product Information

  • Product Name
Human ASGPR1 (His Tag) recombinant protein
  • Documents
  • Description
Mediates the endocytosis of plasma glycoproteins to which the terminal sialic acid residue on their complex carbohydrate moieties has been removed. The receptor recognizes terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units. After ligand binding to the receptor, the resulting complex is internalized and transported to a sorting organelle, where receptor and ligand are disassociated. The receptor then returns to the cell membrane surface.
  • Protein name
    Asialoglycoprotein receptor 1
  • Protein short names
    CLEC4H1; RP23-172M21.2; ASGPR; ASGR1; ASGPR1; HS.12056; HL-1; ASGR; ASGR-1
  • Uniprot ID
    P07306
  • Gene Name
    ASGR1; CLEC4H1
  • Source/Expression Host
    Human Cells
  • Expression Plasmid/cDNA
A DNA sequence encoding the human ASGR1 isoform 1 (P07306) (Gln 62-Leu 291) was expressed, with a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
  • Protein Species
    Human
  • Molecular weight
The recombinant human ASGR1 consists of 246 amino acids and has a calculated molecular mass of 28.8 kDa. In SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, the apparent molecular mass of rhASGR1 is approximately 37 kDa due to glycosylation.
