To prepare L  Spectinomycin Stock Solution

1. Prepare 0.8 L of distilled water in a suitable container.
2. Add 60 g of Spectinomycin pentahydrate dihydrochloride to the solution.
3. Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
4. Prewet a 0.22 µm syringe filter by drawing through 5-10 ml of sterile H2O and discard water. Sterilize spectinomycin stock through the prepared 0.22 µm syringe filter. Stock may be kept at -20°C for 1 year. Working Conc. = 60 µg/mL
