Sodium Iodide/Sodium Sulfite Solution Preparation and Recipe

Sodium Iodide/Sodium Sulfite Solution can be used as a chaotropic agent in DNA recovery.

To prepare L  Sodium Iodide/Sodium Sulfite Solution

Table 1. Recipe

1. Prepare 0.8 L of distilled water in a suitable container.
2. Add 1 g of Sodium sulfite to the solution.
3. Add 744.3 g of Chloral hydrate to the solution.
4. Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
5. Filter the solution through Whatman paper and use immediately.
