10x MOPS Buffer Preparation and Recipe

To prepare L  10x MOPS Buffer

Table 1. Recipe

1. Prepare 0.8 L of distilled water in a suitable container.
2. Add 41.852 g of MOPS(4-Morpholinepropanesulfonic acid, 3-(N-Morpholino)propanesulfonic acid) to the solution.
3. Add 4.101 g of Sodium acetate to the solution.
4. Add 3.722 g of EDTA(Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt dihydrate) to the solution.
5. Add distilled water until the volume is 1 L.
6. Filter sterilize through vacuum filter or autoclave. (Autoclaved MOPS buffer may turn yellow in color). Store at room temperature and protect from light. Remake buffer if color turns dark.
