Validations
mouse brain tissue were subjected to SDS PAGE followed by western blot with Catalog No:116616(UNC5A-Specific antibody) at dilution of 1:100
1X10^6 MCF-7 cells were stained with 0.2ug UNC5A-Specific antibody (Catalog No:116616, red) and control antibody (blue). Fixed with 4% PFA blocked with 3% BSA (30 min). Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) with dilution 1:1500.

Background
UNC5A, also named as KIAA1976 and UNC5H1, belongs to the unc-5 family. It is a receptor for netrin required for axon guidance. It mediates axon repulsion of neuronal growth cones in the developing nervous system upon ligand binding. Axon repulsion in growth cones may be caused by its association with DCC that may trigger signaling for repulsion. It also acts as a dependence receptor required for apoptosis induction when not associated with netrin ligand. The antibody is specific to UNC5A. It has no cross reaction to UNC5B, UNC5C and UNC5D.
