  • Background
    ATP2B2, also named as PMCA2, belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) family and type IIB subfamily. This magnesium-dependent enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the transport of calcium out of the cell. ATG2B2 catalyze the reaction:ATP + H2O + Ca2+(Cis) = ADP + phosphate + Ca2+(Trans).
