  • Background
MAP4K1(Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase kinase 1) is also named as MEKKK 1, HPK1 and belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. It may function as a novel tumor suppressor and its loss plays a critical role in pancreatic cancer. MAP4K1 regulates stress responses, proliferation, and apoptosis in hematopoietic cells. This protein has 2 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
