  • Background
HACE1(E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase HACE1) also named as KIAA1320, has a tumor-suppressor function dependent on its E3 ligase activity and controling adhesion-dependent growth and cell cycle progression during cell stress through degradation of cyclin D1. It belongs to the HECT family of E3 ubiqutin protein ligase. This protein has 4 isoforms produced by alternative splicing with the molecular weight of 102 kDa, 36 kDa, 64 kDa and 78 kDa.
