    COX5B belongs to the cytochrome c oxidase subunit 5B family. It is one of the nuclear-coded polypeptide chains of cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal oxidase in mitochondrial electron transport. COX5B and other 3 genes CKB, HBB, MBP are involved in respiration.(PMID:21295140)
