Background
CLP1 (collectin placenta protein 1), also known as COLEC12 (collectin sub-family member 12), NSR2, SRCL or SCARA4, is a 742 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein, which belongs to the CLP1 family. CLP1 localizes in the nucleus and is expressed in the brain, kidney, thymus, and colon. CLP1 is a component of pre-mRNA cleavage comlex II, which is involved in the cleavage of the pre-mRNA.
